Is it a cream, a lotion, an oil, or food? Until I sat down to write this, I had never really asked myself that question. Growing up in Africa was part of my life. My mother said that Shea butter was the essence of our Skin's health. She used it to massage herself after childbirth to restore her skin and put her body back in place. She massaged her new born baby to unbind the muscles and nourish the infant skin. She added it to her tea to relieve a cold and support the body to heal. For me Shea butter was simply health.
